Jessica He, Board Chairwoman, Chengdu GoldTel Industry Group

Jessica He directs GoldTel’s IT and education strategy and has transformed it into a world-class high tech enterprise since founding GoldTel Communications in 1995. She has served as president of the company and later as the chairman of GoldTel Group in 2000. Today GoldTel Industry Group, with over 1000 employees, is known for manufacturing of advanced communication equipment and also a design house for semiconductors in China, and one of the "Key Enterprises" named by Ministry of Science & Technology. The group has also successfully expanded into the IT education and vocational qualification and its Chengdu College, UESTC has joint programmes with Motorola and Microsoft.


Walter Herriot OBE

Walter Herriot OBE, was the Managing Director of St John’s Innovation Centre Ltd since 1990 until his retirement from the centre at the end of 2008. The Innovation Centre, based in Cambridge, is regarded as a model for incubators, particularly those linked to Universities, both nationally and internationally. Prior to running the Centre Walter spent 18 years as a Manager for Barclays Bank, and was then Corporate Finance Director for Coopers and Lybrand in East Anglia. Walter is a member of the CBI East of England Council, the steering committee of the Greater Cambridge Partnership and is Chair of the East of England Enterprise Agencies. In 1999 Walter was awarded an OBE for services to businesses in the East of England and in 2002 was the Cambridge Evening News "Businessman of the Year". In 2006 he received the Queens Award for Enterprise Promotion and was appointed Visiting Professor at the University of Hertfordshire.


Gal Dymant, Chairman of Asia Direct

Gal has 7 years experience in M&A in China, and advising foreign companies on acquiring Chinese companies across China. He has been involved in closing several deals in wireless, pharmaceutical, retail, insurance and financial sectors, in various parts of China. Gal is the founder of Asia Direct, an M&A boutique based in Beijing and a long term partner of China Business Solutions. He also owns a successful Internet advertising business, and is a co-founder of Zero2IPO, one of the leading financial advisors in China for private equity placement. Prior to establishment of AD and Zero2IPO, Gal worked in Merrill Lynch in New York in M&A investment banking division for 2.5 years. Gal received MBA from Stern School of Management, New York University, and a bachelor degree from Tel Aviv University in Applied Economics.


Dr Philip Zhai, Managing Director, J.P. Morgan (Hong Kong)

Dr. Zhai specialises in principal investment, merger and acquisition advisory and IPO in Hong Kong and Mainland China, particularly in information technology and infrastructure facilities. He has held senior management positions including recently Head of Investments for the Shanghai Industrial Holding, a Red Chip company in Hong Kong and the largest overseas enterprise established by the Shanghai Government, and Managing Director of Macquarie Group in Hong Kong. Dr Zhai obtained his PhD degree from Cambridge University, and is an engineering graduate from Tsinghua University in China.
